NEXZ Returns August 24 with New Album "SAUCIN'" — Promising to Hit Every Taste

JYP Entertainment boy group NEXZ is back with a new album. On August 3, NEXZ made its comeback official by releasing the first trailer video for the new album "SAUCIN'." From Farmer Transformation to a Twist: the Trailer The released trailer opens with a serene scene of the seven members—Tomoya, Yu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Hyui, and Yuki—transformed into farmers. After carefully tending crops like tomatoes, lemons, and kiwis in a greenhouse, the members create a twist in mood by grabbing handfuls of produce and bursting them. It then wraps up with an offbeat scene of them smearing colorful sauces made from fresh ingredients all over themselves, heightening curiosity about what kind of fresh appeal the new album holds. The Meaning Behind the Album Title "SAUCIN'" "SAUCIN'" combines the English word "SAUCE" with the progressive ending "-ING." Likening NEXZ's own musical color to a variety of sauces, it carries the intent to satisfy everyone's taste—whether you dip or drench. It's an ambition to keep listeners engaged with music that doesn't settle on a single color. This album is NEXZ's first new work in about four months, since its second single "Mmchk" in April. With "Mmchk," NEXZ set its own best first-week sales record, and with the same-titled title track it topped the real-time chart on the domestic music site Bugs and, for the first time since debut, took first place on a music show. A Seven-Member Group That Started on Nizi Project NEXZ is a multinational boy group formed through the survival audition "Nizi Project 2," co-produced by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music. After debuting in May 2024 with the single "Ride the Vibe," it has drawn attention for solid dance skills and strong performance immersion. The members have also been building their self-production capabilities, taking part in writing the lyrics of title tracks themselves. Their activity on stage has continued as well. In June, NEXZ successfully wrapped its first Japanese arena tour since debut, "NEXZ LIVE TOUR 2026 'Hellmate.'" It then met global fans by holding the global showcase "NEXZ GLOBAL SHOWCASE EVENT Mmchk : Not Typical" across five cities including Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Singapore. Taking Global Festival Stages in the Second Half NEXZ, drawing attention as a "next-generation stage standout," also has major festival stages ahead in the second half of the year. In September, it will take the stage at Brazil's large music festival "Rock in Rio" and also appear at the new festival "STRAYCITY," held across three regions in Latin America. STRAYCITY is a festival hosted by fellow JYP group Stray Kids, with NEXZ named as an invited artist. Attention is gathering around what color NEXZ—having promised music as varied as sauces of different appeal—will show through "SAUCIN'." The new album "SAUCIN'" will be officially released on August 24 at 6 p.m. KST.
