HYBE's Rookie Girl Group TUIDE to Debut August 24 with "TUNE & PLAY"

HYBE Music Group's new label ABD is unveiling its first girl group, TUIDE. The group makes its official debut with the first mini album "TUNE & PLAY" on August 24 at 6 p.m. KST. The Meaning Behind the Album Title "TUNE & PLAY" According to ABD, the album title "TUNE & PLAY" means tuning different musical languages into one rhythm (TUNE) and creating the enjoyment found within it (PLAY). It captures the group's ambition to present a new current in the global market with a sound that crosses the boundaries of generation, culture, and language. The group name TUIDE likewise draws from the phrase "Tune the tide." It carries the intention of experiencing and tuning the many currents of the world to create new joy. A Seven-Member Multinational Lineup Alongside the debut announcement, the visuals of all seven members — Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seia, and Lee Hanee — were unveiled. In the introduction content shot against a colorful team logo, the members caught the eye with distinctive styling and a cool atmosphere. TUIDE is a multinational group made up of seven members with diverse cultural backgrounds, including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. According to the label, this makeup translates into the team's own singular color. An Identity Where Four Languages Intersect On July 2 (KST), TUIDE released introduction photos and the video "Introductions : WE TUIDE" on its official social media. Over a minimal beat, the video wove together Korean, English, Japanese, and French, revealing a team identity that spans multiple cultures and languages. It also featured the members calling out "TUIDE" in various languages, imprinting the team name. Making an Impression with a Preview Stage Ahead of the debut, TUIDE held a preview event, "PLAYGROUND," on August 1 and 2 at Layer Studio 11 in Seoul's Mapo district, giving an advance look at five tracks from the debut album. Even though the stage took place with no team information yet known, the polished live vocals and performance drew the attention of industry insiders on site. The project is said to be led by producer Han Sung-soo, who has worked with acts including Seventeen, After School, IZ*ONE, and TWS. With TUIDE signaling that it will forge a new current in its own way from the debut promotion onward, attention is gathering around what kind of debut stage it will present on August 24.
