BIGBANG is launching a large-scale media exhibition to mark its 20th debut anniversary. As part of its 20th-anniversary project, YG Entertainment is opening the media exhibition "BIGBANG 20TH ANNIVERSARY MEDIA EXHIBITION 'COSMOS'" (hereafter COSMOS).
A 20-Year Story Completed Through Prequel and Main
"COSMOS" is a media exhibition project that completes BIGBANG's 20 years into a single story through a prequel and a main exhibition. Starting with the prequel exhibition held at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, all the way to the main exhibition held at "dududo SEOUL," set up in an underused underground space between City Hall Station and Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station, it colors every corner of central Seoul with BIGBANG's history.
This exhibition is part of the 20th-anniversary project unfolding after the Han River event—featuring fireworks and a drone show—and the world tour "XX : COSMOS." It presents 20 years of musical activity and records with fans, fused with media-art technology.
The Meaning Behind "COSMOS"
The title "COSMOS" goes beyond the universe in a merely spatial sense; it is a title of a cosmic concept carrying connection, relationship, and continuity. It holds the meaning of "everything that exists in the past and present and will exist in the future."
The teaser poster released alongside it captures BIGBANG's iconic presence with a silhouette where light and shadow intersect. The "COSMOS" logo, shaping the infinity of the universe, symbolizes BIGBANG's eternal musical journey and the time it will share with fans.
An Exhibition Realized with Cutting-Edge Technology
This exhibition is carried out through a collaboration between YG Entertainment and the global entertainment-tech company Creative MUT. The organizing company, Creative MUT, previously recorded a tour of 11 cities worldwide and a cumulative 250,000 visitors through G-DRAGON's media exhibition.
The exhibition is set to showcase advanced technologies including AI (artificial intelligence), real-time holograms, XR (extended reality) and AR (augmented reality), and next-generation 3D motion graphics. Light, visuals, and sound come together to realize BIGBANG's 20 years in three dimensions.
Booking Schedule
The prequel exhibition of BIGBANG's 20th-anniversary media exhibition "COSMOS" runs free of charge at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil, and can be booked via Naver Reservation from the 7th. The main exhibition at "dududo SEOUL" can likewise be booked via Naver Reservation from the 13th.
