Stray Kids placed nine albums consecutively atop the US main album chart, standing shoulder to shoulder with the legends of global pop music history. They completed a record unique in the Billboard 200's 70-year history: their first nine entries all debuting at No. 1.

Mini Album "THIS & THAT" Tops the Billboard 200

According to the US music outlet Billboard on the 17th (local time), Stray Kids' mini album "THIS & THAT" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart, dated the 22nd.

The equivalent album units earned in its first week totaled 369,000, rewriting the group's own best weekly record. Of that, traditional album sales made up 357,000, streaming equivalent albums (SEA) 11,000, and track equivalent albums (TEA) 1,000—making the pure-sales figure the group's best ever as well.

A Record Standing Alongside The Beatles and The Rolling Stones

With this, Stray Kids completed the feat of sending all nine albums they've released to No. 1 since first entering the chart with "ODDINARY" in 2022. Stray Kids are the only act in the Billboard 200's 70-year history to debut their first nine entries all at No. 1.

They also cemented a singular position in the all-time group rankings. Achieving their ninth No. 1 overall, Stray Kids tied Britain's legendary rock band The Rolling Stones (nine) for second place in "most No. 1s among groups in Billboard 200 history." The only group in history with more No. 1 albums than them is The Beatles, with 19.

Among groups worldwide that debuted after 2000, they are by far the leader in No. 1s, and for the most No. 1s of this century (the 2020s), they stand shoulder to shoulder with pop star Taylor Swift (nine).

The Culmination of Step-by-Step Growth

This ninth straight No. 1 is the culmination of step-by-step growth, going beyond merely defending the chart's top spot. After partnering with the major North American label Republic Records and entering the chart with 110,000 units in their first week in 2022, Stray Kids raised their firepower more than threefold—through "5-STAR" (249,500 units) and their fourth studio album "KARMA" (313,000 units) to this 369,000 units.

It carries deep meaning in that these results were achieved while competing on the same stage as the era's top pop stars who dominated the US streaming market.

Physical Firepower Spanning Korea and Japan

At the foundation of these achievements lies formidable physical-album firepower spanning both Korea and Japan. This new record posted 3.03 million first-week (initial) sales on Korea's Hanteo Chart, becoming 2026's second "triple million-seller" after BTS's "ARIRANG."

In the US market too, led by a diversification strategy of 17 CD and vinyl (LP) variants, it swept up 357,000 in pure album sales alone in the first week (about 96.7% of the total). By 2026 weekly pure-album-sales in the US, this ranks second after BTS's "ARIRANG" (532,000 copies). Showing strength in physical records over streaming, this achievement once again confirmed Stray Kids' solid global fandom.
